The making of a good e-tax system: Even with technology, you cannot build something on nothing

The Federal Inland Revenue Service is set to implement an Integrated Tax Administration System before the end of 2013. The implementation will be in phases starting with Abuja and Lagos and subsequently in other locations.

There is no doubt that this initiative is a good one that should revolutionalise the tax landscape in Nigeria but only if the neccessary elements to make the system successful and properly considered.
